Feast of Sant'Ambrogio


Where: Milan / Milano Italy


Saint Ambrogio Day is celebrated December 7 in the Sant'Ambrogio area of (center) Milan. Saint Ambrogio is the patron saint of Milan and his day is celebrated with food and stalls with vendors selling a number of items are set up in the neighborhood.


The fair is called "O bej O bej".


Here you can find: antique furniture, handicrafts and food such as cold cuts, cheese, sweets, pancakes, etc and have the traditional wine of the day, the vin brulé, with roasted chestnuts.


Goldsmiths made a gift to the city of a silver statue of the saint. You can see the statue on this day in the Duomo cathedral. There is also a special morning service in the Sant’Ambrogio basilica.
