Florence Gelato Festival

One of the greatest places in Italy to experience gelato is in Florence (Firenze), with its excellent cuisine and fine art, a nice gelato can top off a great meal.

Perhaps no better place in Italy to have a gelato festival than in Florence.

The second annual gelato festival will take place from May 25 through May 29, 2011.

Two different “gelato villages” in the center of Florence will be located at Piazza Pitti and Piazza della Repubblica.  There will be workshops on how to make gelato, competitions, along with sampling of the product....delizioso!  They will also sell tasting tickets which will work in the "centro storico" or historic central part of town.
