Lemon Festival, Sorrento

The first weekend in July, Sorrento will celebrate it's annual lemon festival.
Where: Piazza Massa Lubrense, a few kilometers south of Sorrento on the southern end of the peninsula.

Here you can savor anything lemon-flavored including ice cream, lemon cakes, Italian ices, limoncello liqueur, etc. In addition, there are guided tours of the lemon farms. The festival ends at midnight with hot lemon cornetti (croissant type pastry) for everyone.

Sorrento is in Southern Italy and is a few hour train ride south of Rome, very close to Naples.
