For the last 10 years or so, the quaint little picturesque Sardinian town of Carloforte, located on the isola di San Pietro (St. Peter's island) has a tuna festival (Girotonno) where the whole town becomes an open restaurant to sample all the great tuna and seafood of the village.

There will be cultural activities, entertainment, competitions, parades, art exhibits, etc.

They expect about 40K people a day at this festival.
